This workshop is for anyone who is baffled by all the knobs and switches on synthesisers, or anyone who wants to get away from using factory presets, or even anyone considering branching out into the world of modular synths. I’ll break down the various constituent parts of a synth and explain the individual functions of each section, building a basic modular synth along the way that the attendees will be able to try out. By the end of the workshop, attendees should be able to easily create and sculpt their own sounds on any synthesiser.
This workshop is led by Jay Chakravorty, a multi-instrumentalist composer and producer, based in London. Their debut post-classical album “A Map With No Memory” is out now on Berlin label Unperceived Records.
